Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, Nigerian authorities announced on Wednesday night. The athlete was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
